Fritz: $2 Million for Transportation Improvements Coming to Susquehanna County

January 6, 2026

SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY – Rep. Jonathan Fritz (R-Susquehanna/Wayne) announced Susquehanna County will be receiving $2 million to replace the Salt Springs Road bridge. The funding is through the Multimodal Transportation Fund.

“These dollars will go a long way in keeping our roads safe,” Fritz said. “By replacing the Salt Springs Road bridge, we will update our road infrastructure and make sure the surrounding communities that use the bridge will have a long-lasting, dependable way to travel.”

The Multimodal Transportation Fund, administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), provides financial assistance to municipalities, councils of governments, businesses, economic development organizations, public transportation agencies, and ports and rail freight entities to improve transportation assets that enhance communities, pedestrian safety, and transit revitalization.
