MONTROSE – Today, Rep. Jonathan Fritz (R- Susquehanna/Wayne) announced the dates for his upcoming Concealed Carry Castle Doctrine Seminar, which he his co-hosting with Rep. Tina Pickett (R-Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna), and Senior Expo which he is co-hosting with Salvation Army Ladore.

“We are really excited to once again hold in-person events and give our communities continued opportunities to learn valuable information surrounding our Second Amendment Rights and senior care programs and services,” said Fritz. “My staff and I look forward to seeing everyone at both of these events and encourage residents to come out and join us!”

The Concealed Carry Castle Doctrine Seminar will take place on Thursday, Oct.14, from 6-8 p.m., at Bridgewater Church, located at 10142 State Route 167 in Montrose. Doors will open for attendees starting at 5:30 p.m. Registration is required for this event. “Residents continue to express interest in these events, which include informative presentations about their rights as firearm owners, situations in which the Castle Doctrine may apply, and additional intricacies about Pennsylvania’s gun laws,” Pickett said. “Each of the seminars we’ve held in recent years has been very well attended, with lots of great questions.”

The Senior Expo will be held on Thursday, Oct. 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Salvation Army Ladore Pavilion, located at 287 Owego Turnpike in Waymart. Representatives from various state departments and local organizations will be present to talk with seniors and their families about programs and services at their disposal.
